CRIT Tribal member Jacoby McCabe Ellsbury and his Oregon State University team won the Super Regional of the College World Series against the University of Southern California, and have advanced to the NCAA World Series in Omaha, Nebraska from June 17-27.
Jacoby was also drafted in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft (23rd pick) by the defending World Champion Boston Red Sox. He is son of Margie McCabe Ellsbury and Jim Ellsbury of Madras, Oregon. His late grandparents are Franklin J. McCabe Sr. and Alice C. McCabe of Parker.
