Special election scheduled to fill last seat Eight candidates have been verified for the ballot to fill a vacant seat on the CRIT Tribal Council in the February 13 Tribal Special Election. The candidates seek to fill the seat of Daphne Hill-Poolaw, who was recalled in a December election. The candidates for the seat are:
The Special Election will be held on Friday, February 13. Tribal offices will be closed that day to allow all Tribal members to vote. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The polling locations are:
The new council member will join the new Tribal Chairman, Eldred Enas, and the five other members of the Tribal Council elected in the December regular Tribal elections. The nine-person Tribal Council also includes the two incumbent council members, Dennis Welsh and Richard Armstrong. |
